Anyways, last night I watched "A Cinderella Story" with my sister. And the night before I watched "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

That's cool Neil. I get to watch a live stream of Huntington Beach at my job. It actually makes me jealous of those people. Lucky bastards.

Scream
There's a thread over at Sucks OT discussing the series and it reminded me of how awesome the first 2 movies were, so I also have 2 and 3 to watch over the next couple nights. I started with the first tonight though. The first 15 minutes with Drew Barrymore is one of the most intense, terrifying scenes in film history I'd say. I used to have nightmares about that after seeing the movie since I lived pretty far out from town. I met Matthew Lillard a couple years ago and all I could think of when I met him was "Liver alone!" Such a funny movie at times and I really like how it's so self-referential and meta. It subverts the genre while also adhering to its restrictions for the most part. The Courtney Cox/David Arquette romance is probably the weirdest part of the movie for me, knowing they got married after it all. "Remembered the safety that time, you bastard" is one of my favorite kiss-off lines ever. and p.s. Jose, I think "A Cinderella Story" is one of the dumbest movies ever, but it has a great mantra that I always like to keep in mind despite its deep stupidity. "Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game."

I watched All About Lily Chou-Chou yesterday. It was intresting but entirely too long. The movie was 2 and a half hours and going through the movie I kept
thinking about all the things that could be cut out and houw much better the movie would be at maybe 2 hours or less. Anyway AALCC is basically a coming of age
story with a subplot of depression and the internet. I thought it was pretty good, not the best, but good.

The Sasquatch Gang
Kind of similar to Napoleon Dynamite. In a way. It was pretty dumb, but I enjoyed it overall. The Dark Crystal OMG. If I had seen this as I child I would have been scarred for life. Strange and terrifying. |

SCREAM 3
awful. terrible. embarrassing. this is one trilogy that should have been aborted in the second trimester. oh, and speaking of...before that I watched '4 months, 3 weeks, and 2 days', the Romanian movie that won the Palme D'Or at Cannes last year. It was very easy to get uncomfortable and disturbed watching this, especially due to the graphic, lingering shot on...well, just watch it. It's a powerful film that I don't necessarily think some of the crazy pro-lifers here would care to see, but just consider that this is the kind of thing that takes place if abortions are outlawed and made illegal. Please watch with an open mind.

Definately, Maybe
Amazing movie! Loved it <3 10,000 BC Ugh incredibly boring, but the fighting scenes were cool. There was like no plausible plot the whole movie. |

Bleach: Memories of Nobody
Watched this over lunch yesterday. It was easy enough to get into for a person who hasn't quite followed the Bleach series, and it had less of the talking crap and painfully protracted fighting scenes of the anime episodes, instead going for simpler, shorter but equally visually stunning battles.

THEM
It's what I expect 'The Strangers' may have been like if it weren't completely retarded. Some genuinely scary moments in this one and the ending's a bit chilling. The one downfall is that it's so short. It lasts about as long as Cloverfield.

Death Proof
K so I've been wanting to see this forever, because I love Tarantino and I'll say I was more than impressed. A few WTF moments but overall a really entertaining flick. It's not Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill, but it's still hawtness. A-
