I just tried red wine and white wine and my god that is awful as well.
Jeez. I didn't also realize that my second drink, a Pomegranate martini, was 1. pure alcohol and 2. expensive. Gah perhaps drinking is not my thing lol.

Sadly, it seems that alcoholism is a genetic trait in my family, so I have (unwillingly) developed a strong love for alcohol :( Though I will never drink to the point of an extremely drunk state. I h.eart gin, brandy, and vodka, but wine beats all <3 I disagree about the drunk = fun thing though... I love alcohol but I would never get drunk, because I always have the same amount of fun sober as my friends drunk... It's not that hard to loosen up after a few drinks without needing to get TRASHED. And hangovers are nasty. |

I'm not a big wino myself, some is okay but most is really syrupy especially red wines. Strawberry champagne is the best if you want to take it easy.

Too much drinking this weekend! I went on DIS progressive (Denmark International School), even though I didn't participate in the DIS program last fall. (I
was in Italy). Anyway, I did meet up with the DISsers in Berlin so there was a bit of justification for me showing up at the progressive. Afterall my two best
friends were hosting a stop so what was I supposed to do? Sit at home by myself?
My fucking freshman year roommate was trying to plan it, and well he is a prude and I don't think he even knows how a progressive is supposed to go. It was way too organized and he tried to shepherd us around to all the stops. I wanted to fucking punch him in the face. Plus he was hitting on my best female friend, and when I went to go dance with her later he acted all protective and he actually pushed me away and said "calmn down". I almost fucking kicked his ass right in front of everyone. I don't think he realizes that she is my 2nd best friend and that we party together every fucking weekend. Well anyway, the stops were okay. I only went to a few stops: 1) Tequila/orange juice mix. I forgot what they actually called it but I don't even care since I hate tequila. 2) Car-bombs. Hosted by my fucking former roommate who thought he was the shit but ended up buying plastic shot glasses that didn't even fucking sink into the beer cups. Dumbass. I had only two because they ran out fast. LAME. 3) Misc mixed drinks. My friend mixed some really strong Vodka or Rum plus assorted fruit juices. Pretty ghetto mixes but they turned out to be too strong for most people. My friend told us to chug our drinks but no one wanted to. So I ended up showing them all up (including my roommate) by chugging FOUR drinks total. (This ended up getting me way to drunk). 4) Final stop of the night which was serving some hot drink. Red wine plus something else. It was warm, I was hot, and I hate red wine. So I passed. All in all not too great of a selection, but Peach Mango Juice plus Parrot Bay is so good I could just drink it and drink it and drink it. Goes down smooth too. I ended up getting so drunk but I had to carry my friend home. Gave her a piggy back for about 6 blocks. She was screaming the whole time saying "Go for the Gold, no fuck the Gold, go for Platinum! Phil is Platinum! Phil is Platiunum!" I was so embarrased by this screaming I tried to run faster and faster but that got her more into the screaming. Then when I got to my room I was so tired from running 6 blocks with a person on my back. Then I went on a walk by myself at 3:30am drunk to calm down. I tried to throw up because I knew I had too much (the four drinks I chugged equaled six shots of vodka and four shots of rum) but I couldn't. Fortunately I wasn't sick in the morning. My friend ended up getting a hangover. Oh well. Then today was Spring Concert so I woke up early (after going to bed at 4am pissed drunk) to start drinking again! It was my friends birthday so we started drinking in the morning, YAY! Then went to spring concert to go dance to shitty ass music in the mud and the rain. No need to be self concious, spring concert is a day where you can act like a fucking dumbass and everyone will think you're just being "quirky".

I just turned 18 which is the legal drinking age in the Philippines and I had my first shot of Tequila and a Flaming Ferrari. I've gone through all my life
not drinking at all except for sips of mixed drinks, too, so it was a cool milestone. My first shots! Lol!

Considering all the varieties of wine you can't just simply state that you dislike ALL wine.
That said, red wine typically tastes best when eaten with something. I like a nice Zinfandel. As for white wines I tend to like sweeter white wines (like Vouvray, probably my favorite). There are some really nice Pinot Grigio's too and there's my favorite Chardonnay from New Zealand which is Kim Crawford's unoaked Chardonnay. yummay.  |

Shots are the quickest, but the sickest. :X
I used to love Vodka until I had a whole bottle of Grey Goose and threw up. :X Pineapple Malibu + Pineapple Juice = Goodness.  |

IThe first time I got drunk was in February. We were in a deserted street near a state park and we all sat around two bottles of Skyy Vodka and took swigs out
of the bottle. There were five of us drinking and we downed the entire bottle so, needless to say, we were all gone out of our minds. I made out with all
drunken parties and found myself giving my first BJ ever in a McDonald's bathroom stall later that evening. So I guess my first drunken experience was not
lackluster.
The thing that I like about getting drunk is that I get very loose and have a lot more fun. Also, my inner slut comes to the surface and it's not a suprise for me to ask everyone in the room, regardless of sex or sexuality, if they would like to make out. And let me just tell you that straight guys will make out with you if they have enough alcohol in their system. I enjoyed mixed drinks the most, personally. It takes longer for you to get drunk off of them but you aren't completely disgusted before then by having mixed. With shots, you just get a burning sensation in your throat and have a nasty aftertaste that makes you want to drink more to get the aftertaste out. Even though my preference is mixed, I usually drink straight because my friends are not sophisticated enough (i.e. smart enough) to buy chasers before getting a run, so there's no money left over after we get a run to buy chaser to down the alcohol. But I digress. |

I love getting drunk, especially at parties. But I like the more intimate parties with like 10-15 people instead of the huge ones that have way too many people
because then it is a lot more fun. The very first time I got drink it was with a friend and we were 15 I think and all we did was shots of Vodka the entire
night, I had about 8 and he had like 5. Needless to say I threw up... a lot and now I HATE Vodka. I can't even stand the smell of it. Now when I go to
parties I notice that there are those cheap wine boxes for those that can't take the hard stuff so I have a lot of that and then good ol' beer. Which I
love! I don't know why you guys don't like beer... my favorite is Bud Light (I feel so redneck) but it's true. I think for me getting drunk is just
a way for me to loosen up and do stuff and say stuff that I normally wouldn't sober (be it good things or bad things) and it's always fun to share
those memories that you can look back on with your friends and be like "remember that time when we were sooo wasted and did blah blah blah...". And
of course the drinking games are HILARIOUS. And I know the sober people like to say "Well I can have just as much fun and be just as crazy sober" but
really... just get drunk one time and you'll see.
BTW I'm a really, really light weight. Like give me 2 beers and I'm already tipsy, 4 beers and I'm drunk. 2 glasses of wine and I'm drunk. This is actually a good thing when the goal is to get drunk. But sometimes I just get a lil' of a buzz instead. I fall down a loooooot when I'm drunk btw. Idk it's a hard thing to explain but I just think it is a lot of fun to be drunk. Which I know sounds lame to a lot of people but it just... is. |
